This weeks was to say the least an…. interesting one.  Well in the world of Online Communications only a few things happened though.  Firstly we finished our teacher websites!  I finished it completly on thrusday night adding the final details.  It feels good to have knocked that out of my way.  Now that that project is done with time to relax right?  Wrong!

Now we have to write a letter to our advisor on what we did and other things.  Unfortunatly the rubric which lists everything we have to put in the letter in only available in a computer folder only accessable from the school apparently.  Needless to say I have spent the past 3 hours trying to find it online or trying to get it from friends.  I have come up empty handed and so I attempted the assginment with what I could remember.  Luckly its only the first draft due tomorrow so things might not be that bad.

This past week the dashboard changed.  This new format, while at first confusing as everything had been rearranged, is alot simpler to use in compaison to the old style.  This is because it has less catagories for you to select from therefore making it quicker to access different areas of the site.

Aside from this I have worked more on the project.  Unfortunately progress is slow as I am confused on how to add certain elements (AKA the calender….).  This is pretty much the final step for me to take. so aside from any touch ups to the site, I’m pretty much done.

I seem to be getting very confused with class.

 As of late Mr. Stengel has been having us add more and more to our sites and our project sites.  I am unsure as to how far he wants us to go.  I have added almost everything my teacher has wanted added to the site, but Mr. Stegel wants us to add more to it.  SOme of these things like podcasts, are rather superflous in my opinion as my teacher, in no offense to him what so ever, does not appear to be very tech-savy.

I still can’t manage to add a google calender to my project site and since Mr. Stengel is absent today I can’t find out how to until we go back on monday.  The due date for this thing is rapidly approching and I’m going to need to pull it together soon or else it will all fall apart.

In my own blog and the blog I am making for Mr. Scaramella’s site I have used only a few google applications.  On my own personal blog I have a google search option in case I need to pull things off line that I want for the site.  On Mr. Scaramella’s blog I plan to put in (after I’m done typing this) a google calender and another google search widget.  I want to find out about any other google tools similar to the calender that I can add to the site in case they might be useful to me.

Couldn’t post yesterday, didn’t get the chance due to a large amount of family present in my house over the weekend.

I finished the framework on Mr. Scaramella’s blog.  On Wednesday, period 6 he and I will work together to fill it in with the data he wants.  Once we put the information on the individual sections of the class on the site then all that will be left will be to put any finishing touches on the site.

After this project I’m still not sure of what we are going to do.  Still no clarification on our next subject/assignment.
