This week we began a group project.  Together, we must create a wiki om a topic of our choice.  My group chose Windows’ Movie Maker, considering the project we just did.  It should be a good project too, it’s nice to be able to work with other people for a change, haven’t done a group project since last year.

Once again not much to discuss this week due to more days without class an a couple of subs.  Learned how to post comments this week.  We had to write about a topic we like this week, that was a good assignment as its always more enjoyable to do something when its something you like.

For this assignment I have chosen one of my favorite games, Halo.

 Halo takes place in the year 2552 during a war against the Covenant, a group of aliens united by a theocracy determined to find their masters, “the forerunners” another long dead species.  Humanity is badly losing this war, only still possessing Earth and a few other planets that have escaped the Covenant’s bloody war of extermination.  We follow the adventures of a genetically enhanced super soldier named John who has been in training since the age of 6.  During a botched escape from a besiged planet, John and other marines find a ring-shped construct in space known to the Covenant as a Halo.  John discovers that the rings, which the Covenant think are portals to a higher plane where the forerunner await, are actually superweapons developed by the forerunner to combat a parasite known as the Flood which destryoed the forerunner, some of which are still lurking on the ring.  When activated the rings will destroy all life in the galaxy.  John destroys this ring but more lie in the reaches of space, as well as the Flood.  The story pits the human surviors against the Covenant’s superior military, but when things seem bleakest the Covenant begins to crumble.  After years of tension, two of the leading species have entered into open war with one another.  One of the sides, the seperatists, have found out the truth about the rings and have joined the surviving humans.  The Covenant discover and invade Earth, unwittingly giving the location away to the Flood who follow them.  The covenat, hopelessly outnumberd by the Flood and humans evacuate to the hub of the Halo network, where they can all be fired off.  It is here where John leads his men and the aliens who have sided with them, known as the Elites, against the Covenant, stopping them once and for all.  However the Flood soon turn and attack the humans and elites.  John and an elite known as the Aribiter destroy the instillation killing the remaining flood.  However in their attempt to escape, the ship they are on is smashed in two by the explosion, causing the half with the Arbiter to get back to earth while, John floats alone in his half amongst the ruins of the instillation.  Alone he cliombs in to a cryopod where he will wait for recuse to come, though when they will find him is unknown.

This past week we learned how to customize our blogs.  I enjoyed this feature of the blog since it lets me take this site and really make it my own.  Maybe we’ll get to see some more fun features for this site this week.

Not much to discuss this past week as I only had class twice thanks to CAPT testing and a Physics lab.  Discussed project topics with Mr. Stengel but other than that not much happened.
